--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--*--* sometime while taking this quiz thingy, this question came: Do you take actions without thinking about the consequences? my answer was yes. then a this question reminded me of something... why i was never really good at chess. that's why. i take actions without thinking about the consequeses that lie ahead. life is a lot like chess. except for the reality that some people do kill each other and some eccentric lads think they're the kings of their own kingdoms, in life and also in chess one has to consult his brain and heart and think a hundred times before arriving at a certain decision. i suck in chess. i know that; thinking ahead of things has never been my thing. and it makes me ask, do i suck in life?! i bet i do now. but one can practice chess, right?! |
chess sucks.
umm, fine then.
i suck at it. hehe.
but hey, it's boring...
so shoot me. :P
right! chess is so boring thats why i suck at it and it sucks!
According to this premise, this is why I am "good" at life. I loved chess in my youth. At 12, with no training, I could beat any adult or school mate. It became boring only because no one could challenge me.
You DONT have to think 100 times before you move. You just have to recognise the logical outcome of your move(s). Then you need to have confidence in yourself that the logical conclusion you have come to is the best outcome. Finally, you need to act on that confidence.
Life is very similar to this. The people that recognise these outcomes faster and act with confidence in their decisions do seem to get more out of life.
It is often trial and error and you do gain experience as you get older.
