7.09.2005 insomniafaint music, nocturnal lights. counted a thousand sheep in my restless mind. yet my eyes, they fail me. dancing shadows, cricket’s song. nearby, an echo of rushing footsteps. and yet no sign of any night dweller. several deep blinks , a yawn. as my eyes begin to slowly yield to deep slumber. blurring vision, fading murmurs. I force my eyes shut; as my dreams consume me, and nightmares torment me. |

I have insomnia, too. Er nightmares, too, these past few months (after having left me in peace for years). Hmm, sometimes I wonder if insomnia's part of the coping mechanism (or, rebellion) of the mind against bad dreams. Hee. ^_^

yep, you're right! insomnia is indeed a kind of defense mechanism. but as much as i hate to admit it... i guess i love nightmares. ugh! silly nightmares, sometimes a person just can't help but need them! lol! :)
